a. personally, it didn't pass my standards.

b.no

c.so what's new same old box of pancake?! how bout changing then shape of the box?

d.i know that blue and yellow mix well but, most pancake boxes in the philippines are yellow, except for pillsbury.

e.just get wild! rawr! ^o^;

f.get a new look!make the character or mascot
4D, or do a new mascot, a heroic one. since your primary target market are the moms and the kids are like the pretending secondary market, (most of the time is the major influence in moms' decision) why? 4d or higher because the world has already conquered beyond 2ds...KIDS love superheroes whether hero/ine!

g?what's appealing? the suggestion or the package shown above?

-it looks average
b. do you find it edgy?
-no
c. comment on the product visual...
-its plain
d. what are ur design consideration?
-put a suitable picture on the background.
e. what are your do's and dont's in designing?
- don't overdo it.:)
f. if u were to re-package this design what are d things u want to change? why?...
-the background is very plain, i can improve the product shot by photographing the food with a blur background so you dont have to cut out product.

g. do u think it's appealing to the target market?
- if your target market is A and B, it might not get their attention..

so far yan yung sagot ku.:) ui gudluck sa thesis a!:D

a. do you find the character attractive?
ayus lang kasi white king naman talaga sya :)

b. do you find it edgy?
uhmm no, but i like the pancake image

c. comment on the product visual...
may room for improvement pa kasi for now it doesn't seem to flow with the current hype

d. what are ur design consideration?
revamp and make it pop~! a simple design that can entice moms to buy the product

e. what are your do's and dont's in designing?
don't go overboard :)

f. if u were to re-package this design what are d things u want to change? why?...
yung yellow bg, hehe medyo generic na kasi yun for pancakes... try other royal colors...white king kasi yung brand ;p

g. do u think it's appealing to the target market?
hindi... mas cute kasi si pillsburry hehe ;P try changing their mascot or revamping teh king :D
:iconhell6:
a. Do you find the character attractive?

-Yes because it complements the lay-out which is geared towards the hot cake rendered in a simple manner, the character complements a balance between the real photograph (hotcake) and illustrated lay-out stratedgy.

b. Do you find it edgy?

-If you were to look at it in a quick browse method because you are in a hurry to buy products, yes it is. The contrasting colors ranging from flat lemon to royal sky blue and to vibrant red makes it edgy for the eyes to look at, powerful use of colors designed to contrast did the job.

c. Comment on the product visual...

-It is simple yet balanced, a right combination of realism through the hot cake and the over all lay-out + illustration of the character. Contrast also adds balance for if you look carefully the vibrant reds forms triangles within the character in the layout.

d. What are ur design consideration?

-Keep it simple, use colors to match the product and balance the real from the illustrated.

e. What are your do's and dont's in designing?

-Do not over do the illustration, make sure 1 gives way to the other because having too much balance between the illustration and the photograph may cause complications such as focus issues.

f. If u were to re-package this design what are d things u want to change? why?...

-The photograph would be one, I would try to add more action to it such as syrup flowing to add more dynamics but the background would still be simple yet vibrant (light orange to contrast on the dark syrup and hotcake).

g. Do u think it's appealing to the target market?

-If the target market simply just wants to buy the product and go home to eat it, yes. After all majority just grab and go, what ever attracts their eyes they go for it though this varies per experiece of the customer/consumer.

Well those are my opinions, I hope they can help you :handshake:

God Bless you on your thesis and have fun! :highfive:

a. do you find the character attractive?

needs redesigning.

b. do you find it edgy?

no. although the cake looks delicious.

c. comment on the product visual...

too yellowish... should have add darker tones to emphasize the product more.

d. what are ur design consideration?

i wont be using the lace/ribbon design anymore... its too traditional... id put swirls and curls instead.

e. what are your do's and dont's in designing?

for me:

no laces/ribbon unless its necessary.
id put constrasting colors (basic)
emphasis on the character and/or product.
simple design layouts... as much as possible.
attractive nad creative fonts.

f. if u were to re-package this design what are d things u want to change? why?...

g. do u think it's appealing to the target market?

a. do you find the character attractive?
needs improvement.

b. do you find it edgy?
no.

c. comment on the product visual...
i tnk it nids a better product visual..

d. what are ur design consideration?
gud visual, color matching, readable text dat wil attract consumer 2 buy d product.

e. what are your do's and dont's in designing?
dsgn dpends on d target market..

f. if u were to re-package this design what are d things u want to change? why?...
d product visual, il try 2 play on d fud dsgning of d product, also d cartoon- d cartoon face luk lyk 2 me dat d product is not gud..make a cute 1 =) , d font- i tnk der is a much better and suitable font for d product name..

g. do u think it's appealing to the target market?
it needs improvement..
:iconracket:
a) character seems a little cheesy, could do with some work

b) definately not edgey, it seems very conventional, there isn't anything about it that breaks any kind of design 'rule'

c) good photo, nice quality, colours could be changed, they are very artificial colours and thats not something you want people to think of when it comes to food

d) do something with the background, the blank space doesn't do anything for the design

e)try something simple yet eye catching, don't crowd the space your using and don't make it too intrusive.

f)take away the mascot or redesign the character/image your going to use. its seems like it was just thrown in the background. change the colour scheme, and do something about the banner. having only half the banner seems unnecessary.

g)who is the target audience? if its kids, it might as it has a cartoon mascot and very bright loud colours, however if it towards parent, mostl likely not for the same reasons, doesnt seem very professional.

hope that helps :D

Never Try, Never Fail. Thats My Motto!
:iconrockrock:
a. do you find the character attractive?
y...yes if the target audience is just for children.. but since it's for everyone and since the consumers are usually adults, it needs to look less of a mascot... but still looks friendly :)

b. do you find it edgy?
uhm... yes? I think the big bright flat yellow background is really easy to spot in the grocery among the other products especially in stacks... and the pancake looks

c. comment on the product visual...
pancake looks very yummy indeed!
the blue ribbon with the title fits well with the white king but not with the white king logo and the font used in the word 'Classic' and it's wavy style doesn't say "Classic" at all...

d. what are ur design consideration?
simple, straight and consider the target audience's taste

e. what are your do's and dont's in designing?
do not use characters with a tremendously upset face but with happily waving hands
do make the product (in this case the pancake) big but not too big... just to emphasize it..

f. if u were to re-package this design what are d things u want to change? why?...
the white king mascot (why? refer to answer on a and e) and the title (why? refer to answer on c)

g. do u think it's appealing to the target market?
refer to answer on a :)

hope it helps, good luck!:D
